Once upon a time when I was 23 I quit my job and went on tour as a live painter for music festivals and art events across the country. I wanted to get scrappy with my passions, see what it felt like to live off my art. I hustled posters in parking lots and charmed moms in farmers markets while doing freelance design on the side. I made it to the bill of a few festivals as a featured artist and ended up joining traveling art gallery full of tech nerds and SCAD grads, pitching festivals on our gallery experience. We partnered with our buddies from Vision Lab to remix the entire guild's art on the inside of an inflatable DJ dome with bean bag chair seating. It was an adventure I am forever grateful for.
